About

Chrome Photographic Arts Space is a platform dedicated to the practice, understanding, and celebration of photography based in Zhengzhou, China.

We are devoted to promoting photography culture, providing professional photographic trainings, workshops, educational projects, lectures, and events.

In 2018, Chrome was founded by photographic duo Ning Kai (from China) and Sabrina Scarpa (from the Netherlands) with the aim of serving as a bridge between east and west. Therefore, we established abroad programs, in which we provide application and portfolio guidance to Chinese students who plan to study art abroad.

Chrome has a professional darkroom and its own collection, including photographs by artists Masao Yamamoto, Nobuyoshi Araki, Toshio Shibata, Asako Narahashi, Mikiko Hara, Koji Onaka, Seiichi Furuya, and more.
